Rarity with her glasses and tape measure by Oblitor Rarity with her glasses and tape measure by Oblitor
Hello everypony,

This is my Rarity plushie! I'm very proud of her. :)

It took me 47 days to design her, from start to finish, to ensure that she is as close to the original as possible. Her body is made out of durable and high density polar fleece, soft enough to cuddle and strong enough to handle the rigours of pony adventure.

Her mane is made from a very fluffy, stretch material that scatters light in a beautiful way. A wire runs through the inside of the mane and is secured at the ends, so that you can pose her mane any way you want.

She is mainly machine sewn with a 1.5 mm spacing. I replicated the same kind of hard-wearing stitches by hand for the hand-sewn parts - a feat of seamstressing of which even Rarity herself would approve. :) Her head is double sewn onto her body for additional protection, and the eyes and cutie mark were carefully embroidered in a professional workshop.

Her size is 48 cm from hoof to ear. She can stand on her own. You can wash her gently with warm water and dishwashing liquid. She is from a smoke-free home, and I wore material gloves during whole sewing process.

She comes with her glasses that were painted with airbrush and her tape measure.

She's been a labour of love, and I want her to go to a good home!

She is available on Ebay:

Use more handsewing, and you get shape right. Machine does not work well there.

Is it leather? If so, you only need to do like I do: wear material gloves while sewing, and put small metal bar under point fineger to press the needle with metal, not skin. You can imply more force then. I used that for some ladder stitch moments.

If you had the chance, would you be willing to make another Rarity via commission payment?
Now I don't have money atm on me, but by goly, when I do, I would take up on the offer for a Rarity if you would be willing to do it ^_^

Oh yeah, making another Rarity would be much cheaper for me. My workshop still have my embroidery on place, so it's only 50% costs for me ;)

Let's see... I guess I can fit into 25,31$ - 40$ (because prices vary there) with high quality materials. Let's add now 40 workhours. It's 225$ without shipping costs. What do you think about it? I guarantee quality (even better then here, considering it's my first plushie). Ofcourse you want glasses too?

That's actually a pretty consistent price considering you're probably going to use high quality materials, what materials do you plan on making her with and what's the general price for those?

Glasses yes :) Do the glasses have magnet in it? Or do they just sit on the ridge of the nose? :3

I would like to use high quality polar fleece (I can provide photos of it, as our local polar is as good to touch as minky) and this satin mane material. It's pretty hard to photograph and sew, because it shines randomly all over it's surface, and rolls by itself if not secured.
I paid 31$ last time for 100x85 cm and 100x80 cm of both materials.
Glasses sits well because they have small hooks behind them, that looks like normal glasses nose pads.

okay, I could see the price with the satin material, but the high quality polar fleece I'm unsure off. Anti-pill and Blizzard fleece at Joann is normally $8-10 a yard but I've been able to get it on sale for $5 ~ What's the price for your polar fleece? :)

Oh cool! I'd love her glasses with her then <3

I paid that much (31) for those 2 materials together, I don't know separate price.
